Being small in the face of massive rocks, yet seeing the impact of human kind drastically. Where ice lay just a few years ago, there is now exposed rock. Transformation.

In the lively interplay of light and shadow the green appears richer, the sky brighter, the sea wider and the landscape more vivid - I contemplate a natural painting. Gray veils, just moments ago on the horizon, darken the sky above me, only to give way shortly after to the radiant sunlight in atlantic winds. Magic on Sao Miguel, Faial, Pico, Flores and Corvo.

Following the call of the sea I am led into a world of tremendous beauty, the beauty of light, of all colours, of evolution. Being a guest in this environment that is home to creatures, just as evolved, I am left  in deep respect towards all life forms that exist.
